I photographed Queen Latifah during the release of her "Nature of a sista” album. Hoping to show another side to her, we used antique African crowns and jewelry for the cover of Paper magazine. My favorite image is of her smiling and laughing, this was the energy that she brought to our shoot. Afterwards she and I went sneaker shopping on 8th Street in the West Village. I bought a pair of Air Jordan retro red, black & white Nikes and she bought so many sneakers, I lost track. All hail the queen!
